What to see in Lviv? Where to go?

Lviv is the historical center of Western Ukraine. Here, in every corner, the atmosphere of a medieval city reigns. Rynok Square

Located in the central part of the old town. Almost every building here is a cultural and architectural monument. In ancient times, a market was located on the site, where foreign and Ukrainian merchants made purchases. Various mass events were celebrated at this place and important decisions of the authorities were announced.

Rynok Square is a 10-minute walk from the Rius Hotel. Along Akademik Hnatyuk Street, cross Svoboda Avenue, turn left on Berindy Street and walk along the street towards the City Council.

Lviv City Hall

The City Hall was constructed for the fourth time in the mid-30s of the 19th century. The architectural monument is located on the Rynok Square . In the building located the Lviv City Council.

Tourists can visit the high tower and its observation deck which offer a breathtaking view of the ancient city. How to get there by car: from the Rius Hotel you can drive to Ivan Podkova Square in 2-3 minutes. Leave the car in the parking lot and turn right down Teatralnaya street. Near the jewelry store "Zhemchuzhina Lvova" turn to Katedralnaya Square.

Theatre of Opera and Ballet

The best place for fans of theater and opera. The architectural decoration of the city of Lviv: a magnificent view, paintings by famous artists, decorated with gold, numerous sculptures. In addition to cultural recreation, the Lviv Opera is an excellent location for photographs.

The Opera building is located at the end of Svoboda Avenue so it is very easy to find it.

The Potocki Palace

The building was built at the end of the 19th century by French and Polish architects - Ludwig de Verny and Julian Cybulski. A magnificent example of baroque classicism belonged to the Polish Count Potocki. It combines sophistication, elegant simplicity and grandeur. The unique castle is located 1 km from the "Rius" hotel, along N. Copernicus street, the landmark is the Copernicus cinema.
